Five Pillars of our Mission

The mision we promote is based on five pillars.  These are:

  • High-quality schools for working families that teach the important fundamentals and equip students for the workplace they will face in the future.
  • Reliable childcare services, professionally delivered, where children are exposed to positive, educational activities and where they can begin to forge lifelong relationships.
  • Affordable housing, enabling families to join our communities and become part of what makes Keokuk County special.
  • Jobs, with an emphasis on knowledge workers. Keokuk County is served by multiple Internet providers, allowing residents to live outside the pressured environment of metropolitan areas and yet “work” anywhere in the world.
  • Recreational activities, both individual and organized, where people can decompress when not at work and become part of our communities at the same time.

We invite you to follow along as we explore each aspect of our vision and how the pillars combine to ensure Keokuk County continues to be a truly great place to live and grow!
